The Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International has been the chief agency for International Service since inception in 1917. The objective of the Foundation which is totally dependant on voluntary contributions, is the achievement of world understanding and peace through international charitable and educational programs.

A contribution of $26.50 in 1917 from the Rotary Club of Kansas City, Missouri, USA. to the endowment fund for the purpose of doing good in the world in charitable, educational and other avenues of community service, has grown into a Fund of more than $ 825 million today! That is the Rotary Foundation. We would urge the visitor to hop on to the Rotary Website and know more about the contribution made by the Foundation - one of the largest funds designated for the good of the fellow beings.

Our district has not been just a recipient of assistance from the Foundation, but has contributed substantial amounts to the Foundation every year.
